25 YEARS OF UNEVEN PROGRESS: the world remains a highly discriminatory place for girls

Despite gains in education, world still a violent, highly discriminatory place for girls. Two and a half decades after the historic Beijing women’s conference, violence against women and girls still not only common, but accepted.

"A recent erroneous online message circulating in several languages around the world and purporting to be a UNICEF communication appears to indicate, among other things, that avoiding ice cream and other cold foods can help prevent the onset of the disease. This is, of course, wholly untrue".

Minsk, Baranovichi and Navahrudak obtained the honorable status of a Child Friendly City

On April 28, UNICEF Belarus and the Ministry of Education conducted a Coordination Council Meeting and congratulated Minsk, Baranovichi and Navahrudak with obtaining the honorable status of a Child Friendly City.
